PROCESS OF MODELS OF TEACHING

Teaching models follow the basic process for the classroom performance (teacher) which is as follows-

STRUCTURE

The structure of a teaching model is very important from the point of view of the teacher and as well as for the student. The structure of a model provides information about what to teach, how to teach when teaching in the classroom.

It is basically comprised of a set of strategies, techniques, teaching aids, teaching material, and teaching methods or skills. These are the essential components of the structure of a model.

PROCESS

The process is very important for a teaching model because it involves the delivery of the instructions to the student, it involves the activities which are planned at the beginning before the teaching. It is basically the teaching process that a teacher does in the classroom for achieving the instructional objectives which are pre-constructed.

EVALUATION

This is necessary to evaluate what extent of knowledge is grabbed by the students through the teaching model, to what extent the learning objectives are fulfilled, and what is to be taken care of. The evaluation is done for each aspect of the teaching model.

COMPONENTS / ELEMENTS OF MODELS OF TEACHING

5 COMPONENTS OR ELEMENTS OF TEACHING MODEL ARE:

  1. Focus
  2. Syntax
  3. Social System
  4. Principle of Reaction
  5. Support System

FOCUS

Focus is the main point in a teaching model; simply it is an objective and tells about what is the reason for teaching a particular topic in the classroom. It assumes the student's behavior before teaching and simply determines the student's behavior in the classroom. The focus of a teaching model is related to the instructional objectives which are achieved through the teaching-learning process.

The focus should be very intellectual.

SYNTAX

Syntax refers to the phases or the stages as to how it begins and what the sequence of activities is. These sequences are unique to specific models.

SOCIAL SYSTEM
