After Welcoming The Students, The Teacher Will Say That Change Is A Continuous Process. Everything Around Us Is Changing Is One Way Or The Other.

 

 

“Some Changes Are Reversible And Some Are Irreversible”.

 

 

Do You Know What Happen To The Substance After The Changes?

 

 

He/She Will Continue: In Some Changes, New Substance Is Formed But, In Some Other Changes No New Substances Are Formed.

A Physical Change Is A Change Where No New Substance Is Formed.

For Example Rusting Of Iron. During Rusting, Iron React With Oxygen And Water Simultaneously To Form Rust. The Property Of The Rust Is Entirely Different.

 

 

Therefore, The Rusting Of Iron Is A Chemical Change. As A Result Of This, A Chemical Change Is Also Called A Chemical reaction.

 

 

The Chemical Equation Of Rusting Of Iron Can Be Written As Follows:

 

 

Iron (Fe) + Oxygen (O2)  + Water (H2O) = Rust (Fe2O3)

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then The Teacher Will Say: Here In This Case Iron, Oxygen, And Water Are Reactants. The New Substance Formed, That Is, Rust Is The Product.
